Dancing Queen

Ok, call me crazy but at almost 32 years of age I have decided to take up dancing. I have never been a dancer before and have never really thought about dancing. No not even as a little girl. Why am I doing it??? I was talked into it by a group of women who want to start a private dance class with friends. We are starting out with tap dance and will do other kinds of dance too. I am a little nervous at how bad I might suck, but it will hopefully be a fun girls morning out every other Saturday. Even if I don't learn to dance I will get some exercise and maybe have a little fun too!

Pinewood Derby

The Pinewood Derby was held over the weekend. The boys look forward to it all year. Unfortunately, they did not place and bring home a trophy this year. Dustin was so nervous and said he had a position to uphold since he brought home a trophy last year. I felt bad for him that he was knocked out in the first round of racing. Dylan on the other hand did a little better. It was his first year as a Tiger Scout. Although he didn't place in the top three and get a trophy, his car placed about 5th. The boys were totally bumming, but Dean was probably more so, even though he won't admit it! Every year it is a little friendly competition among the Dads to see who gets bragging rights to the fastest car! Anyway better luck next year guys!

What Season is it anyway?

We got another 6 inches of snow this week and school was called off on Monday. It has been such a long winter. All the snow was almost gone and I had been left with a mud hole for a yard. (No kidding I have gotten stuck more than once) then it goes and snows again and we have to go through the melting process once more!!! YUCK!!! We definately need to get a few loads of gravel here soon. Since buying our country home a couple years ago I have dreaded Spring and the muddy season! The kids manage to track it into the house and my entry way is driving me crazy right now. I just give up on keeping it clean until the mud goes away!

The dog is full of mud, the kids, the car, the sidewalk..........You name it, it's covered.
